People: 3k… Private Cars: 5
I’ve decided the best way to share a handful of my favorite Cuba mission trip memories and stories is by one image per day for every day of April.
In March of 2017, I spent about 8 days in the country of Cuba on a mission trip for Dwellings with my church, Creekside Church. We were sent to the town of Potrerillo, Cuba which is about 5 hours via not super fast bus from Havana. The town of Potrerillo boasts around three thousand men, women, and children for population. It isn’t a huge, bustling hub of activity but considering its rather out in the middle of nowhere with very limited resources and services… it isn’t tiny either.
One of the interesting things about this town and her people? There are only FIVE privately owned cars in that entire town. Most people get around by bicycle or horse… or just by foot!
