Typical Tourist Havana
Classic cars, vendors, and street food
These are the things that make up tourist Havana, Cuba. Yes, there are some other landmarks and museums to visit but a lot of time spent in Havana by tourists is on the streets admiring the abundance of classic 40’s and 50’s cars (in various states of disrepair), dodging the multitude of doorway and stairway vendors, and carefully inspecting the street food to determine which the maybe not-so-iron stomach might enjoy. This is the Havana locals are proud to have photographed. Some of the other places we visited did not have such excitement with yumas (gringos, Americans) bearing fancy cameras (no, we aren’t the CIA).
