How does this all work?
After over a decade in the portrait business, I’ve streamlined the portrait session booking process to make it easy and seamless for my clients. I know how valuable your time is so let’s make this simple.
everything is online
There is no requirement for an in-person meet and greet or phone call. You have full access to all pricing information, can sign the portrait contract online, and pay the session retainer online as well.
If you’d like to put a face to a name ahead of time and meet up, I can do that too! The studio is available for pre-session tours, viewing studio wardrobe, or choosing newborn session props and colors.
Each and every session is different, just as is every client. I love learning unique details about each family to custom fit each session. You can expect attention-to-detail, a personal time investment and the utmost in care before, during and after your session with me.
booking & pre session prep
You’ve seen my work and sent over a contact message that you want my work for your forever memories? Awesome! I am SO EXCITED!!
Expect a reply from me within 48 business hours. I will share session and investment information to be sure all decision makers have what they need to complete booking in good faith. Then, we talk about due dates, or session dates. After that, I will email you a link to the portrait contract which you fill out online. The last thing to secure booking is payment of the session retainer. After I receive your contract back, I will email over an invoice. Then, you’re locked in!
Fun stuff next! Every client receives a pre-session consultation by email or in person at my Everett studio, which includes discussion on location, wardrobe, styling, and much more. This is my opportunity to learn what makes your family different from all the others and really dial in what kinds of images you’re longing for. I also clearly share what to expect the day of your session and offer up some tricks for success I’ve learned over the years. This is also the time to voice any concerns or special needs I can accommodate. Communication is key!
A little look into Brea’s studio: The Trestle Loft. Indoor sessions occur in this beautiful space!
Day of the session
Spoiler alert – IT IS FUN.
No, seriously. My favorite thing in the world is laughing and having fun, especially if you bring shy kiddos or grumpy dads. My self-deprecating humor knows no limits of pride and I’ve cracked the crankiest and most wary of subjects by being an utter goofball.
Sessions are as relaxed and stress-free as possible. I completely understand that babies need cuddling, toddlers need the freedom to explore, kids need a chance to warm up, and tweens/teens need to check their hair ‘just one more time‘. I am unfazed by meltdowns, accidents and temper tantrums and can completely go with the flow. Not only do we make sure to get the traditional posed, smiling pictures but I also aim to capture true family moments interacting with each other and just being yourselves. This could be racing around like crazy outside, snuggling on the couch, or walking along the beach. The possibilities are endless.

You’ve survived! Congrats, mama. It is no small feat getting a new baby or mostly clean toddler out of the house on time to make a photo appointment. My family has been photographed more times than I can remember and it is the most worth it kind of hard work! I applaud you!
You can expect a sneak peek of your images via Facebook or Instagram within one week of your session. I do my best to friend or follow my clients so I can give you immediate notice when your images post. Feel free to friend request or follow me if I haven’t found you: Brea on Facebook, Brea on Instagram. The sneak peek is a small handful of my personal favorites and I hope you love them as much as I do!
Unless otherwise agreed, your portrait session purchase includes all the retouched and perfected digital images. There is no ordering or proofing galleries – you get them all, no hard decisions have to be made! I will remit your digital order to the email address on your portrait contract within 4 weeks of the session.
