Cuddle Bug. | Bothell Newborn Photographer

I was DUE for a sweet, sleepy newborn. One of the keys for a successful newborn session in my style is that baby be completely asleep. And, sometimes… that just isn’t gonna happen. I make sure chat with the new parents prior to their newborn photography session and give them some steps they can take to ensure as smooth a session as possible; full belly, very warm room, keep them awake before I get there, session must take place within the first 2 weeks of life, etc.

Well, Kara and Ryan (remember their maternity session at the tulip fields) must have NAILED it because baby Brody was great. He was awake for the family shots and went into a deep, peaceful slumber when it was his turn to shine. Since the weather was so spectacular last Saturday, we even took him outside towards the end of his session and he woke up and showed off his soulful baby blues. Great family, great session.
